On Friday 11th October 2019, Beech and Oak travelled to Peachfield Common to represent Grove Primary School and compete in the Worcestershire West School Games Inter-School Cross Country Championships. The children were given the option of running over 750m or 1500m. The races were split into Year 5 and Year 6, boys and girls.
The terrain is tricky even in dry conditions and the children coped with the changing weather extremely well, even running in the torrential rain, without so much as a moan. The children did magnificently well and proudly represented the school. Well done to all the children who competed and a special shout-out to Maja who came 5th in the Year 6 girls Intermediate race (750m).
