Spring 1

We have been busy bees, playful unicorns and wise owls.

This term in Nursery we have been learning all about the season 'Winter'. We have talked about snow, ice, snowmen and animals that live in cold places. Here are a few of the lovely books we have read to support this topic as well as some photos of us busy exploring and learning!

We love reading traditional tales and joining in with repreated phrases throughout the story! We have had so much fun reading 'The Gingerbread Man' and 'Little Red Riding Hood' and acting out the story with props and masks.

To celebrate Chinese New Year we watched a video of some Chinese dragons dancing, explored the texture of noodles and made tiger masks!

We celebrated Valentine's Day by having a week focused on 'kindness'. We read the book 'The Colour Monster' and talked about different emotions and talked about when he feels 'loved'. We  spent lots of time talking about what being kind looks like, celebrating kindness in the classroom and making some lovely Valentine's cards and pictures for our family and friends!
