Fitness:

This term, we are going to focus on developing our fitness through a series of lessons:

LESSON 1To develop an awareness of what your body is capable of.
LESSON 2To develop speed and stamina.
LESSON 3To develop strength using my own body weight.
LESSON 4To develop co-ordination through skipping.
LESSON 5To perform actions that develop agility.
LESSON 6To develop control whilst balancing.

 

Gymnastics:

We will also learn how to develop our gymnastics skills over a sequence of lessons:

LESSON 1To be able to perform symmetrical and asymmetrical balances.
LESSON 2To develop the straight, forward, straddle and backward roll.
LESSON 3To be able to explore different methods of travelling, linking actions in both canon and synchronisation.
LESSON 4To be able to perform progressions of inverted movements.
LESSON 5To explore matching and mirroring using actions both on the floor and on apparatus.
LESSON 6To be able to create a partner sequence using apparatus.
