UPDATE April 2020- Please be aware that ALL nursery tasks and updates are being updated on Tapestry. Parents/carers have been set up with an account- if you are having difficulties accessing this, please contact the school office.
We understand that this could be a very worrying and stressful time for you and your families and we would like to support you as best we can in keeping your children busy and learning. We have asked the children for their own ideas about what they would like to do to keep busy at home. They said:
“Play with my Mummy and Daddy”
“Making, colouring and drawing”
“Play games” (The children love board games- be creative and alter the rules to make them age appropriate!)
“Play catch with a ball”- how long can you keep the ball going? Count the catches!
Please share any photos with us on Tapestry. We will still be there to comment and can answer any questions that you may have.
Please have a look at these websites for interactive games and ideas:

Go for a walk and look for signs of spring. Can you find a daffodil? A blossom tree? A birds nest? Upload your pictures to Tapestry.
Practise writing your name- overtrace the letters written by a grown up. Have a go yourself. Can you write your first name? Surname? Mum? Dad?
Do lots of counting! Play games, count toys, count everything! Practise counting out, eg, Can you give me 5 cars? Count forwards, backwards.
Draw patterns- can you copy patterns that a grown up has drawn? Try zig zags, swirls, circles, dots. Take your pencil for a walk!
Make things! Make a den and share stories inside. Make things from kitchen recycling. Build things with blocks.
Make cards to post to your friends and family.
Play in the garden- we love throwing, catching and running!
Make lots of sounds and music using anything in your house! Get the pots and pans out!
