On May the 25th 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply to all schools. This is a piece of EU-wide legislation. It aims to determine how people's personal data is processed and kept safe. It also determines the legal rights that individuals have over their personal data. The regulation will apply even after the Uk leaves the EU.
