On May the 25th 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply to all schools. This is a piece of EU-wide legislation. It aims to determine how people's personal data is processed and kept safe. It also determines the legal rights that individuals have over their personal data. The regulation will apply even after the Uk leaves the EU.
Please read the initial letter to parents. This letter outlines what the school will be doing to ensure that it is compliant with the new legislation and how we will inform you of these changes. There is also a link to some useful guidance on what privacy notices are and what sort of privacy notices you will see in school.
