We had a very busy December celebrating Christmas! Here are just a few photos of the things we did to celebrate. We posted our letters to Santa, did lots of Christmas baking and crafts and we had a party! We had a very naughty elf called Snowflake who came to visit us too!
Nursery enjoy Forest School sessions every week, whatever the weather! Please see our Forest School page for more photos of Forest School.
Well done to all of the children for taking part in Odd Socks Day. We all wore odd socks and talked about being 'different'. We have been reading Elmer this week and we love how he is different from the other elephant. We think he is the best!
We have been reading The Gruffalo. We have become familiar with the story through retelling it and exploring parts of it in more detail. We made some 'Gruffalo turned out toes' using cornflakes and rice crispies... they were yummy! We've also been learning to draw some of the animals from the story.
We celebrated a very spooky Halloween at nursery! We baked some scary cakes, we dressed up and we had a party!
We've been spending lots of time outdoors, observing the changes that are happening in Autumn. We've collected conkers and leaves, we've rolled down hills and we've discovered muddy puddles! We are learning lots of rules about how to stay safe when outdoors.
